IMPORTANT NOTICE: Media outlets failing to submit this form will be removed from the CIF-SS media email/mailing list for the 2023-24 school year. Application does not guarantee acceptance. A verification check will be conducted.

Agencies not eligible for CIF Southern Section credentials

Credentials will not be issued to persons solely for the purpose of writing or gathering material for books.
Credentials shall not be issued to representatives of professional sports organizations, nor to telephone reporting services, nor to obligations normally identified as “tout sheets”, nor to other publications devoted solely to gambling.
Any online service that is recognized as an outlet intended primarily for the purpose of delivering news releated to the recruitment of student-athletes will not qualify for credentials.
Any online agency in which the majority of its content is opinion-based will not qualify for credentials.
Credentials will not be issued to freelance journalists/photo journalists. Those credentials should come from the agency hiring services.

Credentials can be requested at any time during the 2023-24 School year.
Credentials for the 2023 Fall Season should be requested before July 21, 2023.
